18th February 2013 was a date to remember as it was the opening of
LH Bright Sparks at the
new place! On that day, Mr. Johann Paul Gregory from the Life Training Consultancy came and gave a motivational talk to the Bright Sparks children to kick start the year with new hopes and dreams!
36 children attended the talk. Some were from St. Joseph's Home, Crystal Family Home, House of Hope, Children Protection Society and individual families. The event started at 3.00 pm with a short ice-breaker by the Bright Sparks Care Coordinator - Ms. Margaret Yoong. Then the children were given a word search. The fastest children who completed the word search received a prize.
Mr. Johann Gregory gave a very good, creative, fun-filled and enthusiastic session on good manners, character-building, responsibility, ownership and self-discipline. There were good interactions between Johann and the children. The children had an enjoyable and exciting learning time with him. It was truly a great and enlightening day for the children and the speaker!
The program then ended at 4.30 pm with goodies being given to all the children and a special tea snack treat by one of our volunteer - Ms. Erina & family.
