Our Story
Bright Sparks was established on 3 Dec 2004 and it started with 14 children. Now it has about 38 children with 3 centre namely, LH Bright Sparks, IC Bright Sparks and Rotary Bright Sparks. Bright Sparks is a children support centre of the children's ministry of The Lighthouse. It is a project of the Penang Office for Human Development (POHD), the social arm of the Catholic Church of Penang reaching out to the children from the poor, underprivileged background and the marginalised to generate a place of hope and to improvise their well being.
Our Vision
- To impart good graces and virtues to the children in a loving, patience and creative teaching manner.
- To reach out to the children especially those who comes from the poor, underprivileged and marginalised background.
- To respond to the needs of the individual child.
- To nurture & develop the children based on the "whole child" principle.
To help the children to attain their fullest potential in education and social proficiency, Bright Sparks provides services such as tuition for the major subjects in school (Bahasa Malaysia, English & Maths...etc), supervision of homework and computer classes. In addition to that, good virtues and some basic living skills are taught in a safe, warmth,loving and happy environment.
We Teach, Guide And Nurture Children From Needy Families
Classes held on every Monday to Friday (3pm - 5pm)
