Back to school !!!

I remembered during my younger age... before school reopen, my parents and I used to be very busy preparing for my school supplies needs... same goes for the kids at The Bright Sparks Centre...

On 17th December 2012, Ms Anna Yoon, Maria and myself brought a group of Bright Sparks children together with their mother to a uniform shop to buy some uniforms, shoes, socks and bags for the children.

Ms. Anna then gave all of us a lunch treat at 1st Avenue food court. All the children were very happy with the new school supplies and lunch.

Indeed it was a very GOOD present for the kids especially with the season of giving is just around the corner...

Yay, new bag for me!

I'm so excited! Can't wait to try the new uniform!

New socks and shoes for me!
Yay, we got everything we need for back to school!

Anna : "Let's go back to my office first."

Thank you for the new school supplies...I'm so happy today!

Emmmm...the food smell so nice... and I'm starting to feel hungry...

Lighting of the Tree of Hope at Traders Hotel...

Some Bright Sparks children were invited by The Traders Hotel to their yearly Christmas Lighting Dinner together with their corporate guests on 30 Nov at 6pm. The children were very excited at the dinner and they were so amaze especially with the Christmas Tree which is named ‘The Tree of Hope’ when the tree got lighten up.

About 50 children and adults from The Bright Sparks centre attended the dinner. They includes The La Salle Learning Centre, St. Joseph’s Home, Children Protection Society, House of Hope and some were from the individual poor families. The dinner started off with a good welcoming speech from Ms. Anna Yoon, the Communication Manager of The Traders Hotel. Followed by a Christmas caroling at the Hotel's lobby by a group of church youth who sang beautifully that night. Next, is the lighting of the Christmas tree. After that, everyone was invited to the 1st floor for a good meal specially prepared by The Traders Hotel.

The dinner then ended with a group photo sessions at the Hotel's lobby next to the 'Tree of Hope' ! Some of the kids even told me that this was their very first experience and they will never forget that beautiful night and meaningful moments they have had with those who cares and loves them and who were there for them.

Thank you so very much for all your love, care and generosity!

We, The Bright Sparks truly appreciated it all!

Wah.. their voices sound like angels!

oh...light...light...hey look my friends, how beautiful the lights are....

Ok, now look at the camera and say cheers, everyone!

May God continue to shower His blessings upon Bright Sparks!
