Earth Hour in March

As millions around the world join hands turning off the light for Earth Hour, Bright Sparks and 10 of our children were invited to joined Traders Hotel in the celebration.  When the lights were off the children help out to light the candle on Earth Hour cake. Even though the light were dimmed their spirit were not... :) they still chat and run around happily. We were able to showcase our beading skills as well, with the help of few candles around us.... They children were curious why the light were off and few question came from them... e.g "why is it off?" "why are we in the dark?" "what are we doing?"... it is interesting to see how much they want to be involved... A good meaningful night that is... Amen

Living Skills Training

Bright Sparks in fulfilling its objective of holistic education of a child has begun Living Skills Program.  This program will help train and equip each child with basic living skills. 

The skills are comprised of cooking, baking, art and craft, bed setting and maintenance. 

They will be also taught skill like handling of a fire situation at home.

This program is conducted at SFX centre, every 3rd and 4th Friday of the month. 

At this moment only children age 12 and above will be participate. Below are the photos of those activities so far.

Form 6 offer letter

Praise to God Almighty.. nothing else can be said at this moment. Early in the morning Bright Sparks received a good news. One of our student Joe, received his acceptance letter to further his study in Form 6 in arts streams. He is from the 1st batch of student. His brother Shan has completed his studies in Montfort Boys Town and now Joe is following his footstep. We would like to thanks all our volunteers for their effort for the last 6 to make this come true. We are proud of Joe and wish him the best for his future. Amen

What 2012 holds for us..................

From Jan to April, lots of things happen here in Bright Sparks. From Living Skills training to Bright Sparks SFX centre cleaning and rearranging. And our study room is ready........ :) more updates will come soon.. Bright Sparks fully grateful and thankful to our Lord... Amen
